My skincare routine

Okay, okay... SKINCARE!

This is my first ever blog so I am rather excited. I thought I would share with you guys my personal skin care routine. I am constantly looking on social media at what everyone else uses for their routines and I do sometimes find things that work for me. I also find it really useful when bloggers/vloggers do reviews, it allows you to explore different brands without having to pay the price. Ok so all products work differently for everyone but I think its good if you find someone online that you trust, it might be that they narrow down your options for you. I personally LOVE Holly Boon and sometimes I think ooooh that sounds like a really good product and then she reviews it and is like 'Hell No!', so i'm like fewww thank god I didn't pay £70 for that new face cream...

Right, I must admit I am not the best at doing my routine every morning and every night. Things get on top of me and sometimes I end up going to bed with just using a face wipe to get rid of my foundation, you know you've had a bad day when you wake up and forgot to even take your mascara off! ew.

1. Firstly I take off my eye makeup, this is normally the messiest part as I wear mascara and usually some eye shadow too. I find that the Clinique cleansing balm really helps with taking off my eye makeup. All you have to do is get some of the product on your fingers or a cotton wool pad and rub over your eyes and this allows the makeup to come off easily. If you are left with panda eyes just get another pad and wipe it away.

2. After I have cleaned off my eye makeup I cleanse the rest of my face. I have found that for me both Dermalogica and Simple work well as they both seem suited to sensitive skin. These two products also don't dry my skin out which is what I find happens sometimes with other cleaners.

3. Once my face is free from makeup I like to wash my whole face with Clinique's liquid facial soap. This is also another step for cleansing, so this isn't necessary if you have already completed step two however I feel my face is rejuvenated once doing this step too. I apply a small amount to the palm of my hand and rub my hands together to create a lather, I then apply the soap to my face and use my Barefaced cleansing brush, this allows your skin to cleanse and tone. I find it really helps with my circulation so therefore prevents spots which is really handy!

4. Lastly is obviously moisturising, I stick to Simple as I find it keeps my skin feeling hydrated and doesn't ever make my skin feel oily. However when my skin is feeling extra dry, i.e. after being on holiday or forgetting to do my skincare routine for a while I swear by Clinique moisture surge. It really allows my skin to feel renewed and soon my skin is back to being normal again.

So that is my 4 step routine completed! If your skin is in need of any extra TLC be sure to try:
-crystal collagen eye masks, these really give my under eyes some extra love. They help my dark circles appear less prominent as I believe they plump up the skin making my eyes look less drawn.
- Garnier moisture bomb mask, I tried this not that long ago and it was so good! It left my skin feeling both extra smooth and firm. It said on the packet that one mask was the same as moisturising for 7 days so no wonder why it left my skin feeling real good.
- tea tree nose pore strips, I buy mine from savers so they are super cheap £1.50 for 6 strips I believe. You wet your nose and allow the strip to dry and after 15 minutes take it off, and off comes a lot of your unwanted blackheads! I would recommend to anyone looking to get rid of blackheads as I know how much of an inconvenience they can be
-lastly is spot blemish gel, I either recommend the Clinique version or the cheaper version found in Savers. If you feel a spot/blemish coming you apply the gel and it prevents them from developing, this stuff is my lifesaver!!!

I hope you guys enjoyed my first blog post and hope it helps some people with ideas for their skin routine. Please comment on the blog to let me know if you liked it and also any other ideas you guys would like me to write about!
